Medicare Advantage plans change EVERY SINGLE YEAR.
One of the most important things to review during Medicare’s Annual Enrollment Period (Oct. 15-Dec. 15) isn’t just the plan’s premium or benefits — it’s your doctors.
MA plan networks can change from year to year, meaning a doctor who accepted your plan this year may not necessarily participate next year. And, unfortunately, we already know that some of you will see major disruptions. No panicking; let's prepare.
Keep an eye out for any communications from your carriers, and I will be able to discuss these changes beginning October 1.
Before choosing or renewing a Medicare Advantage plan for 2027, I recommend taking a few minutes to:
✅ Check your plan’s current provider directory to see which doctors and specialists are listed.
✅ Contact your doctors’ offices and ask whether they will continue accepting your specific Medicare Advantage plan in 2027.
✅ Review your other plan options if an important doctor or specialist is no longer participating.
And remember — the plan that looks best on paper isn’t necessarily the best plan for you if your doctors aren’t in-network.
As an independent insurance agent, I do the work for you. I can help you compare your Medicare options, check networks and prescriptions, and make sure you understand your choices before making a decision.
Don’t wait until the last minute to find out your doctor isn’t participating. Let’s review your coverage before you make your 2027 election.
