¿Te duele algo y no sabes a dónde ir?

👨‍⚕️ Doctor (cita regular): Chequeos, seguimiento, recetas.

Saber a dónde ir te ayuda a cuidar tu salud y tu bolsillo.

¿Te sientes mal y no sabes a dónde ir?

Not every health problem needs the emergency room. Knowing where to go can save you time, stress, and money.

Here's a quick guide:

🏥 Doctor visit — For checkups, ongoing issues, or when you feel sick but it's not urgent. Usually the lowest cost with insurance (often a copay around $30–$50).

🩺 Urgent care — For things that need attention today but aren't life-threatening. Think: a deep cut, a bad sprain, or a high fever. Costs more than a doctor visit, but far less than the ER.

🚑 Emergency room — For serious, life-threatening situations: chest pain, severe bleeding, trouble breathing. ERs are open 24/7 but are the most expensive option, even with insurance. Expect higher copays and possible additional charges toward your deductible.

Good to know: Even with a health plan, you still pay something at each visit — a copay, a share of the bill, or costs toward your deductible. Plans vary, so it helps to understand yours before you need care.

Expanding into California? Here's what trips up a lot of business owners:

CA requires workers' comp for every single employee — even if you only have one. No minimum threshold.

And you can't just extend your current policy from another state without confirming CA is listed on your declarations page.

If you're operating in multiple states, your class codes and rates will differ by state too. What you pay in Texas for the same job title could look completely different in CA.

We shop 50+ A-rated carriers and match coverage to each state's requirements so nothing falls through the cracks.

¿Deducible? ¿Copago?

"Workers on a visa can't get health insurance in the US."

It costs nothing to check. We'll walk you through it honestly — even if you don't end up qualifying.

Here's something most business owners overlook: your quoted rate isn't the biggest lever on your workers' comp premium — your Experience Mod is.

An E-Mod of 1.0 is average. Drop it to 0.85 and your premium shrinks by 15%. Let it creep to 1.25 and you're paying 25% more — every single year.

Two things that move it in the right direction:

1️⃣ A return-to-work program that gets injured employees back on modified duty fast. Fewer lost-time claims = lower mod.
2️⃣ Reviewing your mod worksheet annually. Errors happen — and they compound.

We help employers audit their E-Mod, fix what's wrong, and build a plan to bring it down over time.
