We’re teaming up with Kernersville Pumpkins & Christmas Trees to support local families in need. Bring any non-perishable food items to Good Deeds Insurance or 843 Old Winston Rd (the pumpkin lot) tomorrow and Friday.

🎁 Whoever brings the most canned or boxed food wins a Christmas tree gift certificate! 🌲

Soon, many families in our community may be struggling to put food on the table — and no child should ever go to bed hungry. This cause is close to our hearts, and we want to do our part.

🌽 Here’s how you can help:
Bring any unwanted or extra non-perishable food items to the pumpkin lot — we’ll be collecting donations tomorrow and Friday, and everything will go directly to Sunnyside Ministry.

🎁 The person who brings the most canned or boxed food will receive a gift certificate for a Christmas tree from us! 🌲

And if you or someone you know is facing food insecurity, please send us a private message — we’d love to gift you an edible pumpkin along with a few easy recipe ideas to help stretch your meals. 💛

# # # Join Us in Supporting Our Community!

Hey everyone! After the recent hurricane, a lot of our neighbors really need some help. Here at The Playground Golf and Sports Bar, we know how important community is, and we’re excited to step up and make a difference!

**Here’s How You Can Help:**
We’re teaming up with UMCOR to put together disaster buckets filled with essential items like cleaning supplies. Our goal? To assemble as many buckets as we can to support families affected by the hurricane.

**We’re also accepting direct donations** that will go straight into making these buckets. Every little bit helps, and your generosity will make a huge difference for those in need.

Check out the picture with this post to see the items we’re collecting. Here’s the list:

- 5-Gal Bucket with lid
- Liquid laundry detergent (32-64 oz)
- Reusable kitchen gloves
- Household cleaner concentrate (16-40 oz)
- Scrub brush (with or without handle)
- Clothespins
- Plastic or cotton clothesline
- Dish soap (16-34 oz)
- Scouring pads (without soap)
- 4-8 oz (not gel) pump spray air freshener
- Work gloves (leather or cotton with leather palm)
- Pump-spray insect repellent or insect repellent wipes
- N-95 respirator dust masks
- 33-45 Gal. heavy-duty garbage bags
- Reusable wipes (no terrycloth, microfiber, or paper towels)

**Items must be new.**

We’ll be gathering donations from today, Tuesday 10/1, through Sunday 10/6. The buckets will be handed out in partnership with the Methodist Church, so we can make sure they get to the folks who need them the most.

Let’s come together and make a positive impact during this tough time. Bring your friends and family, enjoy some great food, and help us support our community!

Attention Winston-Salem: Crossnore’s Prom is coming up on Friday, May 10th! This year, Pinwheels Thrift Store and Family Center is collecting donations for our Winston-Salem students to shop for their perfect prom attire. If you have any gently used dresses, suits, or jewelry, please drop them off no later than April 29th.
