The application for our $1,000 Summer Reading Grant Program ‘Books for Kids’ is currently open. The application deadline is May 15, 2026. Librarians can contact us for the application. You also have the opportunity to participate in our 2026 reading contest as part of our "Books for Kids" program. The award is for 3rd or 4th grade students attending schools in Androscoggin County. We ask that 3rd and 4th grade teachers, and/or librarians, nominate a student from their class by submitting a short essay to us on why you wish your student to be selected. The winner will receive an Amazon Kindle - kids edition and a $100 gift card for book purchases.
