My son Curtis and his fiancée Jaden just bought their FIRST HOME, and the timing couldn't be more perfect! In just a few short weeks, they'll be welcoming their first baby and bringing that sweet little bundle of joy HOME! 🍼🏡💕

Curtis, we are SO incredibly proud of you You've worked so hard to make this dream a reality, and watching you reach this milestone as you prepare to become parents makes my mama heart so happy! ❤️

I can't wait to see how you turn this house into your home, fill it with memories, and begin this beautiful new chapter together.

And let's be real... I REALLY can't wait to snuggle that new grandbaby!! 🥰👶

The Fed paused rate hikes last week. Does that mean your mortgage rate stays the same? Not necessarily.

The Fed doesn’t set mortgage rates. The bond market does, and it moves on what investors expect next.

Sometimes the best thing you can do for your business is step away from the day-to-day, surround yourself with like-minded people who share common goals, and make room for fresh ideas.

One week ago today, we embarked on a whirlwind 72 hour journey to Detroit/Pontiac, MI to visit the UWM campus:
Success Track. One day. Lots of learning. New perspectives. Great conversations. And plenty of laughs and new memories along the way.

Rates crossed 7% and a huge chunk of buyers quietly lost their pre-approvals.

If you’re still qualified, that’s leverage. Here’s how to use it.

✅ Ask for a seller credit

📉 Apply it to a temporary or permanent buydown

🏠 Your payment drops while sellers are motivated to deal

Sellers felt that market shift just as fast as buyers did. That window of leverage is open right now, but it won’t stay that way.

You’ve seen the headlines. Interest rates have increased.

And somehow… I still love being a mortgage broker. 😂🏡

Because I didn’t choose this career just for the easy markets.

I love the problem-solving. The strategy. The “okay, here are our options” conversations. The clients who call me stressed and hang up feeling like they actually have a plan.

Anyone can enjoy their job when everything is going perfectly.

But loving what you do when the market decides to humble everyone a little? THAT’S when you know you picked the right career.

So yes, I’d happily take some lower rates.

But until then, I’ll be right here doing what I love—helping my clients navigate whatever this market throws at us. 🤍
