winter is here... which means cold temperatures are here to stay. This drop in temperature can be detrimental to your home or building if you do not properly protect water pipes. Frozen or burst pipes can end up costing you big time. Maintaining your heat at around 60 degrees can help prevent disaster when temperatures are low outside. Now is the time to make sure you are prepared to weather the winter!how can you avoid this?

1. maintain heat within thebuilding at around 60 de- grees to help prevent water pipes from freezing

2. shut off the water supplyand drain all systems and appliances of water to help keep pipes from freezing(unless you have an automatic fire system that requires water flow)
