Thankfully Hurricane Isaias has moved on out quickly, but not before leaving it’s mark on Western NC. Our hearts are with everyone impacted by this flooding as we are hearing of many flooded roads, businesses,and basements.
Our thoughts and prayers are with every family, business, church affected. We know that behind every flooded home is a family facing stress, uncertainty, and difficult decisions.
It’s important to remember that the standard Homeowners and Business policies in N.C. generally do not cover damage caused by flooding. Flood insurance is typically a separate policy.
We know this can be difficult news for families already dealing with so much, and we never want anyone to discover a gap in their coverage when it’s too late. Our goal is to help our neighbors understand their coverage, ask the right questions, and make informed decisions about protecting what matters most.
