🔥 Extreme Fire Danger: Is Your Hay Properly Covered? 🔥

With the extremely dry conditions across our area, the risk of wildfire and accidental fires is higher than ever. At the same time, hay values have increased dramatically, with some hay worth double what it was just a short time ago.
If your farm policy hasn't been reviewed recently, your hay inventory may not be insured for its current value. In the event of a fire or other covered disaster, being underinsured could result in a significant financial loss.

We also want to take a moment to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to our rural volunteer fire departments. These dedicated firefighters spend countless hours protecting our farms, ranches, livestock, and communities during some of the most challenging conditions we face. We are incredibly grateful for all they do.

Did you know your farm policy may be able to help support your local volunteer fire department? Many policies offer Fire Department Service Coverage, which can help compensate volunteer fire departments when they respond to a covered loss on your property. It's a simple way to give back to the volunteers who are there when our communities need them most.

Going to be a great weekend for some golf!

The gallery is patiently waiting for the golfers to arrive! They’ve heard that it’s time for the annual Smith’s Drug Golf Tournament!

Golfers will begin showing up Friday to get in a practice round or two, catch up with old friends, and tell stories about past years that may only partially be true. 😆 Tournament play will begin Saturday morning at 9am. Mandatory Rules meeting at 8:30 am.

The course and kitchen will be closed to the public Saturday and Sunday.

Let’s have some fun, play some golf, and make some new memories!

We’re just over a week away from Mark Wills being in town. Tickets jump to $50 July 1st so grab them while they’re only $40. The future forecast is looking like it’s going to be a beautiful evening for great music, great friends and a great time.

It’s never a great sign when we start seeing Reed Timmer in our area… 👀

Looks like we’ve got the potential for some severe weather rolling in tonight — possibly including large hail, strong winds, and even tornadoes. With storm season kicking off, it’s a good reminder to stay aware and be prepared.

Keep an eye on the weather this evening and all
summer and make sure you have a way to get alerts.

A few quick reminders:

🌨️ Hail: If you can, get your vehicles inside or under cover and stay away from windows.

💨 Wind: Tie down those pesky trampolines or move anything outside that could blow around.

🌪️ Tornadoes: Know where you’re going to go — basement or an interior room on the lowest level, away from windows.

Storms can pop up fast around here, and a little preparation goes a long way.
