This year’s names are: Arthur, Bertha, Cristobal, Dolly, Edouard, Fay, Gonzalo, Hanna, Isaias, Josephine, Kyle, Leah, Marco, Nana, Omar, Paulette, Rene, Sally, Teddy, Vicky, and Wilfred.

See your name up there? (I see my nephews!) Or someone you love? Share this with them, it’s a great reminder that NOW is the time to get prepared. Before any of these storms have a chance to affect Brunswick County and Coastal NC.

Happy Friday, Leland! ☀️

As we wrap up May, we just want to say — thank you. Thank you to every customer who called, every neighbor who stopped by our Brunswick Forest office, and everyone who trusted us to take care of what matters most to them this month.

We also want to give a special welcome to our newest team member Debbie, who has jumped in with both feet and is already making our customers smile. We are so lucky. 🙏

May had some beautiful moments — and we’re heading into June with full hearts and a whole lot of gratitude for this community.

We are SO excited to officially introduce the newest member of our team...Debbie! 🎉

Debbie joined us back in March and has already hit the ground running. She holds her Property & Casualty license and is here as part of our customer service team, which means if you’ve called our office lately, you may have already had the pleasure of talking with her.

Debbie made the move from Minnesota to North Carolina back in 2022 and hasn’t looked back since. Honestly, once you discover all NC has to offer, who could blame her? ☀️🌊

When she’s not helping our Leland neighbors with their insurance needs, you’ll find her out on the water with friends, watching NASCAR, or behind a camera capturing it all.

Debbie — we are so glad you found your way to Brunswick County AND to our team. Welcome home. ❤️

Living in Brunswick County means hurricane season isn’t a “what if" it’s a “when.”

One of the simplest things you can do right now before any storm is even named is document your home.

Here’s what we tell our customers to do:

📹 Walk through every room with your phone camera rolling. Open closets, cabinets, the garage. Narrate what you see.
📸 Take still photos of serial numbers on appliances, electronics, and equipment
☁️ Upload everything to Google Drive or iCloud — NOT just your phone (phones get lost in storms) you can also email it to yourself.
📄 Keep a copy of your insurance policy info somewhere your family can access it

Takes about 20 minutes. Could save you considerable time, money and effort should you ever have a claim.
