Nearly fifteen years ago I opened this office. Heather Sweatt has been by my side every single one of them. π
She is the only original team member still with us, and honestly, I cannot imagine this journey without her. Before joining me, she spent a few years with the retiring agent Dwight Flanagan, and before that, years working in claims. All together, she brings about 25 years of insurance experience to the table, along with a level of organization and knowledge of how things actually work that keeps this whole office running.
Heather works closely with current State Farm customers transferring in from out of state, and she is also the person who primarily handles flood insurance for us, which matters a great deal living where we do. She often works remote as part of our hybrid setup, but do not let that fool you, she still keeps a very close eye on this office.
Case in point, Heather takes her love of gardening seriously, including the plants in our own office. If she thinks we are not taking proper care of them, she will let us know, and more than once she has taken a struggling plant home to nurse it back to health. She is currently very unhappy with me about the state of our front outdoor flower beds, and honestly, she has a point.
A North Carolina native, Heather has called Brunswick County home since 2004. She has been married for 27 years and has five cats keeping her busy at home.
Heather, thank you for fifteen years, for your knowledge, your hard work, and for keeping this office and its plants alive despite my best efforts. π±π
