When people are disrespectful, unkind, harmful, and mean to others remember it’s never about you.

It’s always a reflection of what’s happening inside of them.

When someone is mean I believe it’s a sign that they’re not happy with themselves deep within, so they need to perceive something wrong with the other person to make themselves feel better.

Monday was the start of "national eating disorder week" . It's been 7 years for me without a relapse into my anorexia disease . That is the longest stretch for me without a relapse and I only plan to keep moving forward . This is a genuine smile on my face . I look back at old pictures where I was hiding behind a fake smile consumed by thoughts of calorie restriction , excessive exercise , fainting and losing my hair from lack of nutrition, , the list goes on and on. I still have my days where I'm hard on myself but I don't succumb to the negative thoughts . I've found other healthy coping mechanisms to change my mindset. Please reach out if you need help and don't know where to go. ❤️
