π¨ IMPORTANT HEALTH INSURANCE UPDATE FOR SOUTHWEST FLORIDA! π¨
If you have UnitedHealthcare (UHC) and receive care through Lee Health, there is an important network change you need to know about.
π
Beginning January 1, 2027, Lee Health hospitals and physicians are expected to be OUT-OF-NETWORK for affected UnitedHealthcare:
πΉ Employer-sponsored plans
πΉ Individual plans
πΉ Medicare Advantage plans
According to Lee Health, these plans will remain in-network through December 31, 2026. However, UnitedHealthcare Marketplace/Exchange plans are different β Lee Health states that UHC currently considers Lee Health out-of-network for its Marketplace plans.
β οΈ What does this mean for you?
If keeping your Lee Health doctors, specialists and hospitals is important to you, NOW is the time to understand how this change may affect your coverage for 2027.
And with Medicare Annual Enrollment and ACA Marketplace Open Enrollment approaching, this announcement makes reviewing your coverage and provider network especially important this year!
π‘ Don't automatically change or cancel your coverage. Your options will depend on the type of UHC plan you have, your doctors, prescriptions and individual healthcare needs.
β€οΈ Thatβs where I can help.
As your local insurance agent, I can help you review your current coverage, understand your options for 2027, and compare available plans to determine which options best fit your needs.
