Yesterday, the world lost a true icon, but what a legacy Dolly Parton leaves behind. 🩷

Just last month, we took our family vacation to Dollywood and got to experience a little piece of the incredible legacy she built in the Tennessee mountains.

Dolly was so much more than a country music icon. She was a reminder that you can dream big, work hard, give generously, love people well, and NEVER FORGET where you came from.

That’s a legacy worth remembering.

Happy Birthday to the man behind Southern Oak! 🌳❤️

You may not see him posting insurance quotes or answering the phone, but there’s a whole lot that happens behind the scenes—and Josh has been there through it all.

From encouraging every crazy idea, listening to me talk insurance way more than he probably cares to 😂, helping whenever and wherever I need him, and supporting me while I built Southern Oak from the ground up—he’s one of the biggest reasons I’m able to do what I do.

Today we’re celebrating the guy behind the scenes who keeps me going. ❤️

A year ago, I took a leap of faith and started building something of my own. I had no idea exactly where this journey would take me, but I knew the kind of agency I wanted to create—one where people weren’t just policy numbers, where relationships mattered, and where I could genuinely help people protect the things they’ve worked so hard for.

This first year has brought growth, challenges, lessons, new relationships, and so many reasons to be thankful.
