Memorial Day weekend is arriving early this year, and it’s worth taking a moment to remember what the weekend is truly about.

Here in Kansas City, there are several meaningful ways to honor and remember those who gave their lives in service to our country, including visiting the National WWI Museum and Memorial, attending Celebration at the Station, taking part in national cemetery ceremonies, or visiting a local veterans memorial.

As you make plans for the weekend, we hope there’s room for remembrance, gratitude, and a pause to honor those who never came home.
