Interest Rate vs Annual Percentage Rate (APR)-

- Interest Rate – refers to the annual cost of the loan to the borrower
- APR – refers to the annual cost of a loan to the borrower, including all fees associated with the loan. These fees include other charges such as mortgage insurance, closing costs, loan origination fees, and discount points.

Why the difference? The APR is intended to give you more information about what you’re really paying. The Federal Truth in Lending Act requires that every lender disclose the APR. Since all lenders must follow the same rules, borrowers can use the APR as a good reference for comparing certain costs of loans to ensure they are getting the best deal. (Remember: Your monthly payment is not based on APR; it's based on the interest rate on your promissory note.)

When looking at the Loan Estimate of multiple lenders, compare one loan’s APR against another loan’s APR to get a fair comparison of total cost — and be sure to compare actual interest rates, too.

Heads up for those who travel/shop a lot in Lee's Summit. Road/Bridge work coming.

Heads up, Lee's Summit! A major bridge project will begin this March that will replace the U.S. 50 bridges over Chipman Rd. Specific dates, detours, and more information will be announced soon.

Motorists using U.S. 50 may experience delays as U.S. 50 traffic will be routed around the bridge work using the existing on and off ramps at Chipman Rd. Motorists along Chipman Rd. will be experience significant impacts during Phase 2 of construction as Chipman Rd. will be CLOSED between Blue Parkway and Murray Rd. for approximately five months.
