A great resource for those in need 💚 'renotalone

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. We were grateful to Benton County Mental Health for contributing this informative, bilingual display to our Mission Central office.

Know the signs, and know that there are people who you can talk to! Healing begins in community, and many of our youth and our staff have struggled with and developed skills to manage mental health issues.

Our staff receive Mental Health First Aid training and QPR Su***de Prevention training, and we have a licensed Mental Health Therapist on staff to work with youth. Tristin is an incredible resource and works really hard to create well-being in the lives of young folks.

If you're a youth and you're struggling, don't be afraid to reach out and we will work to help you find community, connection, and care no matter what struggles you're facing.

Planning a vacation or is a big trip just around the corner? Before you hit the road, here are six simple tips to help keep your home and belongings secure while you’re gone.
✅ Stash your stuff in a safe - Before you leave, place your valuables in a locked safe or safe deposit box. If those aren’t options for you, make sure valuables aren’t in plain sight or in an obvious place.
✅ Hire a sitter - If you have a pet, you can either hire a pet-sitter or drop Fido off at the local doggie daycare. For pet-free homes, consider hiring a house sitter to help water plants and check in on your home every couple of days.
✅ Stop your mail - A tell-tale sign no one’s home is when a mailbox is overflowing and packages are stacked on the porch. Before you leave town, swing by your local post office or fill out their online form to put a hold on your mail.
✅ Smart home technology - Burglars aren’t the only thing to worry about while you’re away. Installing smart home technology can help you keep an eye on your home from afar. Many companies offer a variety of smart home technology like smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, garage sensors and water leak detection – so if water is detected in your basement or a smoke alarm is going off, your smart phone is alerted immediately.
✅ Keep your landscaping tidy - If you’re going on an extended trip, hire a landscaping company to cut your grass or shovel your driveway. Anything you can do to keep your property looking fresh can deter thieves from breaking in.
✅ Be careful on social media - This is nothing new, but something that’s definitely still happening. If you post you’re on vacation, online predators know your house is empty and waiting for them.

We 💚supporting (and insuring) small businesses and here’s why:
• Small businesses make our community unique and boost our local economy.
• They showcase the local expertise, focus and commitment to our community’s residents; that’s why I specialize in providing customized protection with small business insurance.
• As a COUNTRY Financial rep, I’m a small business owner, too, so I understand the challenges and needs of small business owners in our community.

I know our local small business owners are in a constant balancing act to make sure their business succeeds. That’s why this Small Business Appreciation Month I thank you for the dedication you bring to your community every day.

Happy Small Business Appreciation Month!
