- Make temporary repairs to mitigate further damage. Keep all receipts, they will be added to the claim.
- Food spoilage only is NOT worth filing.
- TWIA policies, check your deductible before filing. If you know you have damage exceeding the deductible make a claim: https://www.twia.org/claims/

- Other Property Policies - locate your declarations pages & check your deductible. If you know you have damage exceeding the deductible, navigate to your online account (or simply google the carrier's name + claims) & file the claim online.
