How long have you served?: 10.5 years

Current Role: Lieutenant

Why did you join MFD?
I grew up around the Fire Department with my dad serving 15 years. Just like any kid, there was a fascination with the Big Red Trucks, flashing lights and Sirens. With being born and raised in Montgomery, I have always wanted to be able to give back to the community I love.

Any Memorable Moments you’d like to share?
Way to many to share! From our annual Fireman’s Dance, Waffle Breakfast, to many parades. There are always memorable moments!

Any advice for others wishing to join the fire service?
If you are looking to give back to your community and get to know new people, the Fire Department is a great place. The Comradery is like no other. Many people think they can’t do certain tasks, or they don’t have enough time. There are always other tasks you can do, and every member works a full-time job on top of being on the Fire Department.

What are you most excited for the 150th Celebration?
Being able to Celebrate 150 years of service with past and present members, family and Friends. It is going to be one heck of a celebration, almost like a mini Kolacky Days!

Congratulations to our newest employee Jenifer Kerber who was named EMT of the Year for the Montgomery Ambulance service. Jen fits in nicely with the rest of the House of Insurance Agency Staff by volunteering in the community. Jenifer also will pick up an ambulance shift once a week in LeCenter while working in the LeCenter office!

Prom night just got a little more dangerous because Randy Hunt has joined the cast of our 80’s Prom Murder Mystery Dinner on Saturday, February 7th — and apparently, he's absolutely feral in a boxing match. 👀😳

Wanna BET on it?

Yes. Yes we do. 😅🥊

This local legend is bringing big 80’s energy, serious attitude, and fists that allegedly should be registered as weapons. Well, once the cast is on. 🥊 🖐️🦴🩹🤕

👗🕺 Audience participation is encouraged!
Come dressed in your best 80’s prom attire — big hair, sequins, neon, tuxes, shoulder pads, ruffles… and maybe some bubble wrap. Just in case.

🕵️‍♂️ Will he solve the murder?
