Okay, let’s be honest. Times are tough right now.
If you’re feeling discouraged and wondering if you will ever be able to afford anything - let alone a house, I see you and I’m sorry! It can feel like such a long hard road!
Try not to let it get you down. Times have been tough before and they got better. The same will happen again, hang in there! ❤️
In the meantime keep making small decisions to relieve the financial stress and prepare yourself for when times get better. Here are some tips:
• Try to limit eating out. Cooking at home, while still expensive lately, is way more affordable than going out to eat. Plus you get to perfect your cooking skills! 😅
• Tuck any extra money in an account, then forget about it. (Even the smallest amount can make a difference) This helps you prepare for a larger mortgage, by getting used to not spending extra money on frivolous things. It also helps save money for a down payment, which is often times a huge hang up for people wanting to get into a home.
• Get your credit in order. Pay your bills on time. Don’t rely on credit card debt if you can help it. - It’s great to have a credit card, just make sure to pay it off. Basically, don’t get in the habit of spending more money than you make.
This too shall pass, call me when it does! I’m the meantime, get yourself ready!
