This week’s share is a personal one!

Early in my marriage, an elder pulled me aside and offered a piece of wisdom I’ll never forget: “Drop the word step so you can truly step up.”

Removing that title from how I referred to our oldest child became one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It challenged me to show up with full ownership, full commitment, and a full heart as we built our blended family. It hasn’t always been perfect, but it has been intentional. And intentionality is everything.

Truly grateful for turning the big 4-0 today! Thank you LORD! 🙌🏾

As I reflect on my 30s, it was a decade of real growth personally, professionally, and spiritually.

Along the way, I earned my MBA, CFP®️, CPWA®️, and CEPA not for the titles, but to sharpen my ability to serve. Even more meaningful, God directed me into a career that allows me to truly make an impact by helping individuals and families gain clarity, confidence, and direction around their financial lives. Being trusted to walk alongside clients as they pursue important goals is a calling and purpose I’m grateful for every day.

As I step into my 40s, I do so with perspective, humility, and excitement for what’s ahead committed to continued growth, deeper impact, and serving others through work that truly matters.

I work with business owners who have learned firsthand that growth doesn’t stall because of lack of effort; it stalls because time becomes the constraint.

I was recently reminded of this after finishing the book: Buy Back Your Time by Dan Martell. (A fantastic read!)

In the early stages of building a business, doing everything yourself feels necessary. However, as the business grows, the skill that matters most shifts from ex*****on to judgment. Where you spend your time becomes one of the most important strategic decisions you make.

I’m increasingly intentional about buying back my own time and reallocating it towards who and what matters most.

Busyness can keep a business operating.
Leverage is what allows it to grow, endure, and create optimization.

My perspective is shaped by working with owners who are successful on paper but want their business and wealth to work for them, not the other way around. The goal is better growth, aligned with freedom, focus, and long-term value creation.
