No Nonsense Insurance And Retirement Helping Small Businesses & Families seamlessly find better Healthcare. -Chad Beisel & Eric Glenn

The frustrations of rising premiums, reduction of benefits, and limited networks to doctors and hospitals often impacts small business owners and self-employed individuals more than any other population. We became a licensed healthcare agent following my own firsthand frustrations of finding a good healthcare coverage option for me and my family. As No Nonsense Healthcare Ninjas, we specialize in

Health Coverage for self-employed, 1099 contractors, individuals, and families that purchase their own coverage. We can also help in unique cases such as when it is expensive to add on a spouse or dependents to your coverage through work. While we can’t say we are passionate about insurance, we are extremely passionate about helping others. One of the greatest joys of our job is the relief and joy when helping our new clients understand the various options available and help them find the best fit. It is our mission to provide as many individuals and families as possible with an affordable option with solid benefits. If you or your family are looking to purchase a new insurance plan, please don’t hesitate to reach out and schedule your in person or virtual consultations today.

It’s time for another and in this edition I cover some Part D changes coming to Medicare in 2026.
Medicare Part D premiums are expected to rise significantly in the coming year, with some plans potentially increasing by as much as $50 per month. But don’t panic! If you are on a few generic prescriptions or no prescriptions at all, I believe there will be a couple low or no premium plans available.
Several factors are driving this increase:
1). Higher use of expensive prescription drugs, leading insurers to raise rates.
2). A new law that caps out-of-pocket costs for beneficiaries, shifting more financial risk to the insurers.
3). Reductions in the generosity of a premium-stabilization program designed to help insurers absorb cost fluctuations—changes implemented by the administration have made this safety net less robust.
Insurers have submitted bids indicating the average national monthly bid for 2026 Part D plans jumped 33% compared to last year, with a base beneficiary premium rising 6%—the maximum legally allowed.
What this means for beneficiaries:
You should NOT automatically renew your current plan. Instead, use the open enrollment period (October 15–December 7) to speak with someone like me to help you compare plans carefully—especially stand-alone Part D options—to see if there are lower-cost alternatives.
