Let me ask you something…

What is ONE decision about your equity comp worth over the next 10 years?

$10,000?
$50,000?
$100,000… or more?

Here’s the part nobody tells you:

Most people don’t lose that money because they made a bad move.

They lose it because they froze.

They waited.
They hesitated.
They told themselves, “I’ll figure it out later.”

And later… cost them six figures.

I recently walked through a real case like this.

Smart person. High income. Good investments.

But no clear plan around:

* Taxes
* When to sell
* How to diversify

So they did what most people do…

Nothing.

And that “nothing” turned into a very expensive decision.

In this short webinar, I’ll show you:

* The exact situation
* Where things went wrong
* What should have happened
* A simple framework so you don’t get stuck

If you make over $200k and have equity comp, this is for you.

Why do so many high income professionals get equity compensation wrong?

Because it feels like an investment decision, when it’s really a tax and planning decision first.

RSUs, ISOs, NSOs, ESPPs all work differently. The timing matters. The tax treatment matters even more.

Where mistakes usually happen:
• Exercising options without modeling AMT
• Letting RSUs pile up without a diversification plan
• Making decisions based on emotion instead of math

I’m breaking this down in a focused 30 minute webinar for professionals who want to be proactive instead of reactive.

If equity comp is part of your income, this will be worth your time.

If your company paid you in cash instead of stock, would you turn around and invest all of it back into that same company?

Probably not.

Yet I regularly see 30 to 60 percent of someone’s net worth tied up in employer stock.

Not because they made a deliberate decision.
It just accumulated over time.

What we’ll cover in this session:
• When selling makes sense
• How to diversify without creating a tax problem
• How equity should fit into your overall financial plan

This isn’t about predicting stock prices. It’s about reducing risk and being intentional.

Free 30 minute webinar.

Do you actually know how much of your equity compensation you keep after taxes?

Most people don’t.

They see the vest amount and assume that’s what they made. Then tax season hits.

The common issues I see:
• RSU withholding that isn’t high enough
• AMT surprises with stock options
• Selling shares without realizing the tax impact

Equity comp is often the biggest part of someone’s income and the least coordinated.

I’m running a 30 minute session walking through how to think about RSUs, options, and ESPPs in a more strategic way.

If equity is part of your pay, this will be practical and straight to the point.

In today's unpredictable world, the idea of maintaining a robust rainy day fund is more crucial than ever. While conventional wisdom often suggests setting aside 3 to 6 months' worth of expenses, determining the right amount for your situation involves a nuanced approach. Here are some considerations to help guide your decision:

Income Streams: If you have multiple sources of income, you might feel comfortable keeping a leaner emergency fund. Diversified income can provide a safety net, reducing the necessity for a larger reserve.

Asset Ownership: Owning significant assets like homes or cars may necessitate additional savings. These assets can incur unexpected expenses—think repairs or maintenance—that could impact your financial stability.

Industry Stability: Your professional field plays a significant role in how much you should save. For instance, careers in tech might face higher volatility and layoffs compared to more stable positions like tenured teaching roles.

These factors offer a starting point for evaluating your financial needs. However, engaging with a financial advisor can provide personalized insights tailored to your unique circumstances. Remember, while these guidelines can inform your strategy, professional guidance ensures your financial planning aligns with your goals and risk tolerance.
