Here's what they don't tell you to buy before your first night in your new home:
🔒 Rekey every lock — the previous owners, contractors, and yes, even real estate agents may still have a copy. Do this before anything else.
🧯 Fire extinguisher — the most forgotten item on every move-in list. Don't be the homeowner who needs one and doesn't have it.
🔍 Smoke + CO detectors — if they're already installed, test them. Replace the batteries immediately. Don't assume.
🔧 Basic tool kit — you'll need it within the first hour. Guaranteed.
📏 Level + tape measure — because crooked frames in your brand new home will haunt you.
🌀 Shop Vac — handles the messes your regular vacuum was never built for.
