⛔ Myth: If you owe a lot of student loan debt, there is no way you can get a mortgage.
✔️Reality: Having a lot of student loan debt doesn’t automatically disqualify you from getting a mortgage. The key factor is not necessarily the size of your loan, but the amount of your total monthly debt payments compared to your monthly income. This is called DTI. 🧑‍🎓

❌ Myth: School District is Irrelevant to Those Without Kids
✔️ Fact: Even if you don’t have kids, you should still pay attention to the rating of the school district when buying a home.

You might be thinking, “Why? I’m not planning on having kids so this doesn’t matter to me.”

It might not seem important to you now, or even while you’re living in that home, but when it comes time to sell, you’ll be kicking yourself for not placing more importance on the school district rating in your neighborhood.

Because a good school district will help to increase the value of your home and boost home price when you decide to sell.
