I discuss why waiting for interest rates to drop before buying a home is a costly mistake. I share a real client story where someone delayed their purchase a year and a half ago hoping for better rates, only to find that home prices increased by $40,000 in that time. While rates did drop somewhat, they didn’t reach the client’s target, and they’re now paying significantly more for the same house. I explain that you can always refinance later when rates improve, but in the meantime, you’re building equity and wealth instead of paying rent to a landlord.
