B.E.G. stems from the collective efforts and ideas of local Las Vegas punk rock bands and is comprised of the following founding members: Greg Rubin (Lambs to Lions), Logan Peterson (Roid
Rage) and Aaron Ackerman, Ryan Ackerman and Dennis Steffen (Sector7G). is a project designed to grow with experience, patience and time. Our initial goal is to establish a solid base of support and test our abilities as a small organization by producing a series of monthly free shows with a strategic blend of well known bands, established acts and groups new to the scene.
2) B.E.G. will focus on communication and organization as tools of motivation to generate a sense of teamwork, with all involved working toward accomplishing goals of all sizes. We are looking to affiliate with, and cater to, people and groups that have the mind frame of "What can I do to help?" as opposed to "How much am I getting paid?".
3) B.E.G. is attempting to create a type of "service for support exchange system" by using our name and eventual reputation as a hub where like-minded people/groups who are affiliated with live entertainment and music, in one way or another, can make project oriented connections.
4) B.E.G. is committed to promoting our affiliates to the best of our ability, within our capacity and with the most efficient tools we have at our disposal at any given time. To do this, we will bundle bands, services and resources (all tied into live entertainment or music in one way or another) using preexisting forms of promotion and methods of exposure, including the use of social sites and media outlets, to create a network of cross advertising that B.E.G. will take the helm in organizing. This is an eventual and step by step process, all the pieces of which are not yet in place.
5) B.E.G. has to start somewhere and since our roots are embedded in the local Las Vegas punk rock scene, that is where we will be concentrating our efforts over the first five months during the roll out of Phase One. While our future plans definitely include branching out into other genres, forms of entertainment and areas of high population, our priorities lie in the here and now while we get this project off the ground.
6) B.E.G. is not designed as a competitive entity: it is initially set to function during the roll out of the first phase as a low frequency extension to the local Las Vegas scene. Our intent is to be fully cross functional with other groups and offer support where applicable. We welcome input and feedback, and are fully dedicated to exploring new ideas and methods for continuous improvement.
7) B.E.G. is not a management group: each affiliated entity is responsible for their own management, survival and ultimate success. We are simply here to provide extended needs of support and exposure.
8) The large scale goal of B.E.G. is not to see how big we can become, but rather to stay as small as we need, to be efficient, regularly successful and focused on our affiliates. We are dedicated to providing them each the quality attention and individually tailored dedication they deserve. We care about what we do and as we establish a reputation, it is important that we deal in professional quality as opposed to a disorganized quantity. We want to be able to provide a sense of reassurance that we are a backbone of support and each affiliate is a member of a concentrated effort of continuous improvement. B.E.G. held their first official show at the Golden Palms bar on July 12, 2013 and featured, in order, No One Listens, AV Pharm, Loose Change, Metasopheli, Lambs To Lions, Roid Rage and Sector7G. B.E.G is currently in full swing of their phase one roll out process which will take them through to the end of 2013. (v.2:7/24/13)
