More land is considered rural than you'd think and moving away from the cities could help with affordability. You can go to https://eligibility.sc.egov.usda.gov/ to find eligible areas near you, as well as look up income limits in those areas!

Whenever I am speaking with anyone about the current market and their aspirations to own a home, the most common thing I hear is "the rates are so high!". In the industry we have a saying, "date the rate, marry the house", we can always refi to a better rate, but the price of the home is what it will be. I always coach clients to focus on the monthly payment as opposed to the rate itself, because at the end of the day THAT is the most impactful aspect of the home buying process!
