Everyone tells you buying a new construction home is “better” because the rates are lower… but asking your lender these 3 questions could save you thousands. 🏡

1️⃣ How much will property taxes be after reassessment?
New construction homes are usually reassessed after the sale, which can make your payment higher than expected.

2️⃣ Is this the note rate or the buydown rate?
A temporary buydown can make the payment look lower now, but it may increase later.

3️⃣ Who is paying for the transfer tax?
This is often negotiable, but many buyers don’t realize it until closing.
