🌟 Pavilion Gives Back: Supporting Little City 🌟
Our Niles team had the privilege of volunteering with Little City, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, offering a vibrant community and a wide range of empowering services in Palatine, Illinois.
Our volunteers supported in a variety of different activities including:
📝 Resume building and mock interviews to help with job readiness
🛍️ Assembled craft kits covering hygiene, autism support, and the Special Olympics
🎲 Joined in on some fun Game Day activities
🎨 Got creative with arts and crafts sessions
As Keith Gardeck, our SVP of Operations, put it best:
💭 “Many of the concerns we carry in our daily lives feel a bit lighter when we witness the strength and spirit of those facing far greater obstacles every day. Just as importantly, this type of engagement helps break down barriers and reduce the ‘othering’ that individuals with disabilities too often experience. By showing up, connecting, and simply sharing time together, we help create a more inclusive and human-centered community—one where everyone belongs.”
