A lot of Aggies come into the Financial Aid Office thinking tuition and Cost of Attendance are the same number. They're not, and it's one of the most common mix-ups we see.
Here's the quick version: Tuition is just what you pay for your classes. Your Cost of Attendance (COA) is the full picture: tuition, housing, food, books, transportation, all of it. And when it comes to your Pell Grant? It's calculated based on your COA, not just your tuition bill meaning it's designed to help you cover way more than just your classes.
That one distinction can completely change how you read your financial aid package.
This is Wanna Know Wednesdays where every week we're breaking down exactly this kind of stuff so you can understand YOUR money and make the most of it.
