When I stand here today receiving this award, I’m reminded that this recognition isn’t really about me. It’s about every person who needed a hand up, every community that faced hardship, and every moment where someone chose kindness over indifference.
The truth is, helping others isn’t a grand gesture reserved for special occasions. It’s in the quiet acts: listening when someone needs to be heard, giving time, resources, or simply hope when it feels like there’s none left. I’ve been fortunate to witness the incredible resilience of the human spirit, and it has taught me far more than I could ever teach.
To my Alliance Team, and all the partners who have walked this journey with Us, this award belongs to you.
To everyone out there who is helping in their own way — whether in big organizations or small neighborhoods, in classrooms or on street corners — keep going. The world needs more of what you do. Every life touched, every burden lightened, every smile restored reminds us why we’re here.
As long as there are people in need, our work isn’t finished.

Al estar aquí hoy recibiendo este premio, recuerdo que este reconocimiento no trata realmente sobre mí. Trata sobre cada persona que necesitó una mano amiga, cada comunidad que enfrentó adversidades y cada momento en el que alguien eligió la bondad por encima de la indiferencia.
La verdad es que ayudar a los demás no es un gran gesto reservado para ocasiones especiales. Se encuentra en los actos silenciosos: escuchar cuando alguien necesita ser oído, brindar tiempo, recursos o, simplemente, esperanza cuando parece que ya no queda ninguna. He tenido la fortuna de ser testigo de la increíble resiliencia del espíritu humano, y ello me ha enseñado mucho más de lo que yo jamás podría enseñar.
A mi equipo de la Alianza y a todos los socios que han recorrido este camino junto a nosotros: este premio les pertenece a ustedes.
A todos aquellos que, allá afuera, están ayudando a su propia manera —ya sea en grandes organizaciones o en pequeños vecindarios, en aulas o en esquinas—: sigan adelante. El mundo necesita más de lo que ustedes hacen. Cada vida que tocan, cada carga que alivian, cada sonrisa que devuelven nos recuerda por qué estamos aquí.
Mientras haya personas necesitadas, nuestra labor no habrá concluido.
