One day, your house will be quiet.
The toys will be gone.
The shoes by the door will disappear.
The bedrooms will stay clean.
And you’ll probably miss the chaos you once wished would slow down.
Right now, you’re in the middle of the memories.
The school mornings.
The ballgames.
The bedtime stories.
The slammed doors.
The hugs.
The mess.
The laughter.
This season won’t last forever.
And as much as we hate to think about it, none of us are promised how long we get to be here for it.
