Our team of more than 140 individuals are united by our mission - We invest in people and places to transform lives through equitable financial and development solutions. We help community development organizations, lending partners and socially motivated investors accomplish goals in underserved communities. We fill gaps in community development funding by leveraging capital from public and private sector organizations and bring our expertise to communities that need it most. We provide creative capital solutions to projects with high social value and our toolkit of services includes programs that lend funds, finance development and manage and build all of the components of healthy communities.

The most meaningful part of any grand opening is hearing from the people whose lives are changed because of it.

We were proud to join our partners at Avalon Housing to celebrate the grand opening of 206 N. Washington in Ypsilanti, bringing 22 affordable homes to the community, including supportive housing for individuals experiencing homelessness and residents with extremely low incomes.

One resident shared a powerful story of resilience and perseverance, describing the journey that led from housing instability to a place to call home. Stories like these remind us that affordable housing is more than a building. It's stability, opportunity, and a foundation for the future.

Congratulations to Dionna Sargent, recipient of the Jumpstart Wilmington Founder's Award, recognizing her leadership in launching the program and opening the door for a generation of developers. Presented during a recent Jumpstart Wilmington Developer Networking event, the award celebrates Dionna's contributions to the program's success and the lasting impact of the community she helped build.

Since 2020, Jumpstart Wilmington has helped cultivate local real estate developers, strengthen neighborhoods, and advance community-driven investment throughout Wilmington. Dionna's vision and dedication helped build a thriving network of developers, mentors, and community partners committed to creating lasting impact.

Historic buildings. New homes. A neighborhood moving forward. ๐Ÿก

Cinnaire Solutions and Olympia Development of Michigan are celebrating the first phase of Henry Street Apartments in Detroitโ€™s Cass Park neighborhood!

The development is transforming seven historic buildings into a vibrant mixed-use community. When complete, it will provide 170 renovated apartments, including nearly half at affordable rates, while preserving an important piece of Detroitโ€™s history.

Residents are already calling Bretton Hall and The Claridge home, while the newly transformed Ralston Commons will serve as a welcoming hub for connection, resources and community programming.

Weโ€™re proud to be part of a project that brings together historic preservation, affordable housing and community investment to create new opportunities for Detroit residents.

What guides the decisions we make as leaders, especially when the path forward isn't clear?

Cinnaire CEO Mark McDaniel explored that question during a recent Business Ethics and Social Responsibility class at Aquinas College, sharing lessons from a career spanning both for-profit and nonprofit development and reflecting on how his understanding of success, leadership and ethical decision-making has evolved over time.

Early in his career, Mark was driven by traditional measures of success: production, dollars and influence. Experience, adversity and opportunity gradually reshaped that perspective. He shared how faith has helped shape his ethical foundation, the importance
of family and friends as sources of strength and accountability, and lessons learned through both successes and setbacks.

Cinnaire's Jessica Hinton and Yulonda Byrd were proud to join LJ Golden Realty and community partners in celebrating the grand opening of Casa Del Rey Apartments, a $19.5 million redevelopment that transformed a century-old property into 54 affordable, modern and energy-efficient homes in Pontiac's historic Seminole Hills neighborhood.

Years of collaboration and investment brought new life to the long-vacant property, with support from the Oakland County Land Bank Authority, Oakland Together Housing Trust Fund, City of Pontiac, Michigan USA - Government, Cinnaire, Michigan State Housing Development Authority, IFF, and other partners. Cinnaire Lending supported the redevelopment with a $1.5 million bridge loan.

Casa Del Rey represents an exciting milestone for the Pontiac community, preserving an important piece of neighborhood history while creating more quality, affordable housing.

Congratulations to LJ Golden Realty and everyone who helped bring this historic property back to life!
