Sis, spending like your past looks like:
➡️ Emotional purchases to fill a void
➡️ Treating yourself with no plan behind it
➡️ Avoiding your bank account because the number scares you.

Spending like your future looks like:
✅ Knowing your numbers so well that spending feels good instead of scary
✅ Buying the flight because it's IN the Say Yes Plan, not because you're running from your feelings
✅ Building the life you actually want, on purpose.

Every dollar either takes you back to old patterns or moves you toward the future you're building. Which one did your last purchase do?

Sis, that pile of toys on the floor is cash you're sitting on. 💰

Before you box it all up for the donation bin, let's get that money back in YOUR pocket:

✨ Sell complete sets (not random pieces) to spots like Once Upon a Child, Kid to Kid, or your local Mom 2 Mom sale. Complete sets sell faster AND for more.

✨ Got friends with kids in different age groups? Don't sell, TRADE. Their toddler toys for your big-kid toys. Everybody upgrades, nobody spends a dime.

This is what I mean when I say your budget is a Say Yes Plan, Family. Turning "stuff we don't use" into "money we can use" is regular degular financial strategy. This isn't being broke, but being smart with what's already yours.

📝 Homework: Pull 3 complete toy sets out of that pile today and text one mom friend about a trade.

Making room for the Christmas toys AND making a little coin while we're at it? That's the best body doubling you can do, Sis. 🎄

Fun fact: I did NOT start FinanSis because I had dreams of becoming an entrepreneur. 😂

I was publishing How to Afford Everything and my accountant basically said, “You need a business to collect the money from this book.”

So on August 21, 2023, I started one.

And somehow…here we are. 🥹

🚨 Say it with me: asking for a discount is not "cheap," it's not "broke," it's ✨SMART✨. It's not in your budget to pay full price for something you can get cheaper just by opening your mouth. Regular degular money move.

➡️ Big Sis tip: keep your student/teacher ID (or your kid's) in your wallet or your phone case all August. Target, Michaels, Office Depot, even some tech brands run these discounts and half the people in line have no idea they exist.

I'm not about to let you pay full price 😅 when Add a browser extension, forget about it, and let it auto-find you a discount or cash back every single time you check out.

➡️ Rakuten (actual cash back deposited to you, not points)
➡️ Capital One Shopping (compares prices across retailers so you're not overpaying, no Capital One card required).

This is what I mean when I say slaying your dollars isn't always some big dramatic overhaul, sometimes it's just letting technology handle the coupon-hunting for you.
