Happy National Tradesman Day!

09/11/2026

Today is Patriot Day, a day honoring the victims of the 2001 terrorist attacks on the Twin Towers, Pentagon, and those on Flight 93. We mark this day to remember the thousands of innocent lives lost, recognize the extraordinary bravery of first responders, and reaffirm national resolve. Federal buildings fly flags at half-staff, and communities hold moments of silence, and community service projects.

Moments of Silence: Six moments of silence will mark the exact times of the attacks on the World Trade Center towers, the Pentagon, and Flight 93. A seventh moment of silence at 12:30 pm is being added to the 9/11 Memorial & Museum annual commemoration ceremony to honor the lives of those who died from 9/11-related illnesses in the years after the tragedy.
Time (ET) Event Honored
8:46 AM Hijacked Flight 11 strikes the North Tower
9:03 AM Hijacked Flight 175 strikes the South Tower

10:03 AM Hijacked Flight 93 crashes near Shanksville, Pennsylvania
