Rick Kochert joined the family business in 1985 after graduating from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Working alongside his father (Ron), Rick quickly discovered his passion for helping the people in the same community where he works and lives. With more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, Rick has dedicated his career to helping clients protect what matters most and continuing his father’s legacy.
Behind the scenes through the years has been his wife, Kim, whose support and involvement have helped make Kochert Insurance what it is today. Today, Rick and Kim are celebrating an incredible 40 years of marriage — a true reflection of commitment, partnership, and family. 💙
When Rick isn’t helping clients, you’ll likely find him golfing, cheering on IU athletics, or spending time with family — especially his four granddaughters, Olivia, Mia, Harlowe, and Lucy.
Today, the family tradition continues as Rick and Kim’s daughter, Kattie, and their son-in-law Justin (married to oldest daughter Maggie) work alongside him at the agency. What began as a family business continues to grow through the next generation.
