There's a full moon approaching!

This month's full moon is called a Sturgeon Moon, also called the "Lightning Moon" due to the severe late summer storms that can occur, which we know very well these last few weeks!

It also coincides with a deep 96% partial lunar eclipse that will be visible in the evening of Aug 27 into the early hours of August 28, turning the moon a vivid red-copper, with peak viewing around 12:12am
