About Us
Jed was born and raised in Mount Carmel, PA and graduated from Mount Carmel area high school in 1979. He graduated from Rutgers University in 1983, with a degree in Economics, where he played varsity football for four years.
Jed began his insurance career in 1983 with Bankers Life and Casualty Company, where he became one of the company’s top selling agents.
He left Bankers in 1992 to open his own agency, Karpinski & Associates Inc., specializing in Medicare products for seniors. Along with managing his own successful firm, in 1996, Jed was elected Manheim Township Commissioner and held that office until 2000. Jed joined Ritter Insurance Marketing in 2005 on a part-time basis. In 2012, Jed was asked to head up a newly formed Life and Annuity Division at Ritter Insurance Marketing.
Jed is married to his wife, Tammy, and he has two sets of twin boys. Kody and Kyle 26, and Troy and Tyler, 22. His wife Tammy of 32 years is a graduate of Wilkes University in 1984. She is a registered nurse and teacher at Brownstown Vo-Tech School in Ephrata, PA. Jed and his wife currently reside in Lancaster, PA.
