What a great day for the Garrard County Chamber of Commerce and our community!

Today, we were thrilled to host two successful events that brought together local business leaders, community members, and government officials for a morning of connection, collaboration, and important updates.

We kicked off National Donut Day with our Coffee, Donuts & Connections Meet & Greet. The FSNB Community Room was filled with friendly faces, new faces, great conversations, fresh coffee (from FSNB), and plenty of donuts as Chamber members and community members stopped by to network and build new relationships. It was wonderful to see so many people taking time to connect and strengthen the relationships that make Garrard County such a special place.

Following the Meet & Greet, our Chamber members joined us for City/County Updates presented by Judge Elleman and Mayor Gaffney. Attendees received valuable information about current projects, community developments, and initiatives impacting businesses and residents throughout Garrard County. We appreciate both leaders taking the time to share updates and answer questions in a positive, informative setting.

A special thank you to our Platinum Sponsor, MAINSTREETMEDIATV, for making today's City/County Updates event possible. Your support helps us provide meaningful opportunities for our members to stay informed and engaged.

Scenic Garrard County Painting and Photography Contest

Let’s capture the beauty of scenic Garrard County and Lancaster, KY. Enter up to 2 photographs, drawings, or paintings; FREE to enter. Open to anyone ages 16 – adult. Cash prize of $50 for first place, $25 for second place.

Visit or telephone Garrard County Arts Center, 206 Lexington St., Lancaster, KY between June 20 – June 30, 2026, during regular business hours to register and choose a location. Then visit the location and paint (plein air), sketch, or photograph. Telephone 859-304-3057 OR 859-474-1161 to register. Garrard Arts Center is open Tuesday - Friday: 10 am - 5 pm and Saturday: 10 am - 2 pm.

Return your work of art or photography by Friday, July 10. All art will be included in an exhibit and reception at the Lancaster Grand Theatre and available for sale (with the artist’s permission).

Garrard and Lincoln's CASA program, a member of the Garrard Chamber of Commerce, is offering an in-person training class for new CASA volunteers in Lincoln County starting June 8! This is a great opportunity for anyone in Garrard or Lincoln to complete CASA training right in your community! CASA volunteers are matched with abused and neglected children. They visit them monthly and advocate for their best interests. It takes about 5 to 10 hours a month to serve as a CASA volunteer. Classes are 9 AM to 4 PM on June 8, 9, 15, and 16; and 9 AM to 12 PM on June 17. Classes will be held at the CASA office on Main Street in Stanford.
