CAN THE NEXT GENERATION KEEP THE GATES OPEN?

Three weeks until Dressage at Devon.

The show opens with the breed division, where judges evaluate what young horses might become years from now.

Farm succession asks a similar question: What will this operation become under the next generation?

Transferring the land is only one part of the answer. Someone still needs to run the farm. Family members need to be treated fairly. Taxes and buyouts need to be funded.

Those decisions are easier when the current owner is still there to lead the conversation.

In three weeks, the next generation will step into the ring. Kingsview Partners is the title sponsor of Dressage at Devon 2026. Join us September 22 to 27, and see what the future holds.

AI and Federal Reserve policy may seem like separate topics, but both are shaping the economic outlook.

While the Fed remains focused on inflation and the labor market, AI could have a more lasting impact through productivity and economic growth. The challenge is determining how quickly these benefits will materialize.

For investors, separating short term uncertainty from longer term trends is key. Productivity, innovation, and economic growth can have a lasting impact on markets, even as Fed policy continues to shift.

The Fed influences the cycle.
Productivity can shape the future.

Planning a Roth conversion in a year you also owe a required minimum distribution? Order matters.

The RMD comes out first. Every time. That amount can't be rolled over or converted.

Once it's satisfied, you can convert additional pretax dollars. The converted amount generally lands in this year's taxable income, and it shifts more of your wealth toward assets that can grow tax-free.

That decision reaches past April: future RMDs, retirement income, and whether your beneficiaries inherit taxable assets or tax-free ones.

Before year-end, ask yourself: am I making this decision for this year's tax bill, or for the plan behind it?

THE BUSINESS BEHIND THE BARN

Four weeks until Dressage at Devon.

The show runs for six days. It takes an entire year to build.

Farm owners understand that kind of work. Payroll, feed, equipment and horse care continue through good months and bad ones.

The same long view should shape your retirement plan. What can the business realistically support? What can you and your employees put away? What happens to the operation when you are ready to step back?

Running the farm and planning your exit are part of the same job.

Devon takes a year to build, and now we’re only four weeks away. Kingsview Partners is the title sponsor of Dressage at Devon 2026. We can’t wait to see it all come together September 22 to 27.

Tariff refunds, rising deficits, and a national debt exceeding $40 trillion have added to concerns around the U.S. fiscal outlook.

Yet markets have continued to reach new highs, highlighting an important lesson for long term investors: headlines do not always translate into lasting portfolio impacts.

Trade policy and fiscal challenges matter, but history shows that markets have navigated many different economic and political environments. Maintaining perspective and a balanced portfolio remains key to staying focused on long term financial goals.

Fiscal uncertainty can create headlines.
Perspective helps investors stay focused.

Online scams are becoming more sophisticated, and new technology is helping criminal networks operate at a larger scale.

An AP investigation found that scam operations have used artificial intelligence, cloud services, internet infrastructure, satellite connections, and social platforms to target people around the world.

Some scams now involve automated messages, real-time translation, fake identities, and carefully scripted conversations designed to build trust quickly.

The financial damage can be devastating. The Federal Trade Commission estimated that scams cost Americans nearly $200 billion in losses in 2024.

The human impact is also serious. Some people working inside scam compounds have been trafficked or forced to participate under threat of violence.

For consumers, the warning signs still matter: pressure to act quickly, requests to keep conversations secret, sudden talk of money or investments, and relationships that move unusually fast.

As scams become more advanced, skepticism can be a form of protection. Slowing down, verifying details, and talking with someone trusted before sending money can make a meaningful difference.

Technology from American companies is being used to power a revolution in the scam industry, playing a key role in the industrialization and globalization of fraud in ways that have not been clear until now, an AP/“FRONTLINE” investigation has found.

IF YOU COULDN’T REACH THE BARN

Five weeks until Dressage at Devon.

Every horse that enters the Dixon Oval has a team behind it. Someone knows the routine, handles the care and can make a decision when something goes wrong.

Who can do that for your horse if you cannot reach the barn?

An immediate care plan should cover where the horse goes, who to call, how expenses will be paid and who can make urgent medical decisions.

Write it down while nothing is wrong. Your horse and the people stepping in for you should not have to rely on guesswork.

Five weeks to go until the barns fill and the competition begins. Kingsview Partners is the title sponsor of Dressage at Devon 2026. We hope you’ll join us September 22 to 27.

Four numbers worth knowing if you already have a trust.

$15 million: the 2026 federal estate and gift tax exclusion per individual.

$19,000: the 2026 annual gift-tax exclusion per recipient.

10 years: how long many non-spouse beneficiaries have to empty an inherited retirement account.

3 years: how long transferred life insurance can be pulled back into the insured's gross estate.

Each one can quietly change how your trust performs: its tax assumptions, its gifting provisions, who inherits your retirement accounts and how fast.

Your trust may not have changed. The rules around it have. When did you last review yours?

Stocks and bonds are both creating opportunities for investors this year, but for different reasons.

The stock market has reached new highs, supported by strong earnings and continued growth across several sectors. At the same time, higher interest rates have pushed bond yields to some of their most attractive levels in years.

While markets near record highs can make investors hesitant, history shows that waiting for the perfect pullback can be costly. A balanced portfolio can help investors participate in growth while managing risk across different market environments.

New highs are part of investing.
Balance helps investors stay invested.

A will and a trust do different jobs. Most women need both.

A will names who gets certain property after your death. It's also the only place you can nominate guardians for minor children.

A trust does its work sooner. It holds property while you're alive, lets someone you choose step in if you can't manage things yourself, and controls when your beneficiaries receive what you leave them.

One catch: it only governs assets that have been transferred into it. A trust that owns nothing controls nothing.

So, what job does each one do in your plan?
