As we head into the season of giving, Penlanco Federal Credit Union is proud to host a Holiday Food Drive benefiting Power Packs Project, a local organization making a meaningful difference for families in our community — and an organization that happens to be a valued Penlanco FCU employer group.

Now through November 19, we're collecting non-perishable food items to help local families this Thanksgiving season. Our drive is especially focused on these shelf-stable holiday favorites:

• Instant mashed potatoes

Team Jennifer Cahill Charities supports, educates, and advocates for women veterans facing serious challenges, helping them find care, resources, and hope. We were grateful to have their team join us at our recent Veterans Resource Breakfast, and we’re excited to continue building this partnership.

On October 13th, we celebrate the birthday of the United States Navy and honor the Sailors—past and present—who have served our country at sea, on land, and around the world.

The U.S. Navy traces its beginnings to October 13, 1775, when the Continental Congress authorized the purchase and outfitting of two armed vessels during the American Revolution. More than 250 years later, October 13 continues to commemorate the Navy’s proud history and generations of service.
