🚨 BUSINESS TAX DEADLINE REMINDERS 🚨

Please do not wait until the last minute.

📌 MARCH 16, 2026
✅ Form 1120-S — S Corporations
✅ Form 1065 — Partnerships / LLCs taxed as partnerships

For calendar-year filers, these returns are generally due by the 15th day of the 3rd month after year-end. Because March 15, 2026 falls on a Sunday, the deadline moves to Monday, March 16, 2026.

📌 IMPORTANT FOR S CORPS
S corporations must file Form 1120-S and provide each shareholder with Schedule K-1 by the due date.

📌 APRIL 15, 2026
✅ Form 1120 — C Corporations

For calendar-year C corporations, Form 1120 is generally due by the 15th day of the 4th month after the end of the tax year.

📌 NEED MORE TIME?
✅ File Form 7004 by the regular due date to request an automatic extension.
✅ 1120-S / 1065 generally extend to September 15, 2026
✅ 1120 generally extends to October 15, 2026

⚠️ REMINDER:
An extension gives more time to file, not more time to pay any tax due.

🚨 If your tax refund was smaller than expected this year it may be because of a Refund Offset 💰

If you owe certain debts the government can legally take part or all of your refund before you receive it. 👀

This can happen for things like
💳 IRS back taxes
📉 Unemployment overpayments
🥫 EBT / SNAP overpayments
🎓 Student loans
👶 Child support

And let me be clear ‼️ This has nothing to do with your tax preparer. Offsets happen after the IRS processes your return. 🏛️

If you think your refund was taken call the Treasury Offset Program

They will tell you

✔️ How much
✔️ Which agency received it

To My Small Business Owners
High Earners
1099 Contractors
Door Dash/Spark drivers
Self employed 📊

Before filing your taxes, make sure you’ve checked these IRS-important items:

✔️ Income
• Have you reviewed all invoices and income records?
• Did you report income from cash, checks, Zelle, Cash App, Venmo, PayPal, Stripe, etc.?
(The IRS considers all business income taxable, even if no 1099 was issued.)

✔️ Expenses
• Have you separated business and personal expenses?
• Do you have receipts, invoices, or bank statements to support each expense?
• Third-party payment processing fees (PayPal, Square, Stripe, etc.) are deductible.
• Business bank account fees are deductible.
• Licenses, permits, and LLC formation fees are deductible (some may be capitalized depending on timing).
• Office supplies, software, advertising, and professional fees may qualify if they are ordinary and necessary for your business.

✔️ Contractors / Workers (1099 Reminder)
• Did you hire a contractor or independent worker?
• If you paid $600 or more to a non-employee during the year, you must issue a Form 1099-NEC.
• 1099 forms must be provided to the contractor AND submitted to the IRS by January 31st.
• Make sure you collected a W-9 before paying your contractor to avoid delays or penalties.

✔️ Vehicle Use
• Are you claiming mileage OR actual vehicle expenses?
👉🏽 You can only choose one method per vehicle per year, not both.
• Mileage must be supported by a log showing dates, purpose, and miles driven.

✔️ Records & Compliance
• Keep records for at least 3 years (longer if income was underreported).
• If you work from home, a home office deduction may apply if the space is used regularly and exclusively for business.
• Self-employed individuals are responsible for self-employment tax (Social Security & Medicare).

📌 IRS Reminder:
If you can’t prove it, don’t claim it. Proper documentation protects you in case of an audit.

I know you must be dreading filing, however, ignoring it will only make the noises in your head louder😅
Call us, make an appointment, let’s see where you are and what you need to get, and go from there.
No need to panic.
Let us do the work for you!
We have until April 15th if we don’t submit an Extension.

If you know you will not be ready by then, reach out to the office and file your extension expeditiously!

🚨🚨 TAX PRO TALK 🚨🚨

This is why I’m STRICT.

A new client went to a preparer expecting a refund…

IRS said NOPE. Snatched the whole thing 💨 and now she owes $17,000 😳💸

Why?

Credits were put on her return with no proof.
IRS asked for documentation.
There was none.
They amended it.
Now she’s stuck with the bill.

Y’all… the IRS is snatching refunds LEFT & RIGHT this year. 🧾✂️💰

They are reviewing.
They are reversing.
They are offsetting.
They are not playing.

So when I ask for:
📌 Documents
📌 Proof of dependents
📌 Income verification
📌 Credit documentation

It’s not me being “extra.”
It’s me protecting you.

A big refund means NOTHING if you can’t back it up.

Compliance over clout. Documentation over drama.

Stop letting people gamble with your tax life for a quick deposit. 🚩

***This is another preparers client who went for help to a known tax professional after the chaos was already made.

Did you receive a 1099 of any type?
Did you work for yourself?
Perhaps you
Babysat?
Sold plates?
Nail tech?
Stripper?
Handyman?
Whatever the title, you earned it on your own, now it’s time to pay taxes.

If you’re aware, tax bracket rules do NOT apply to self employed income! 🚫
And if you did not keep track of your expenses you are left with an ever bigger tax liability 💰

It is highly recommended to set aside 25-30% of gross income to cover both income and self-employment taxes.

If this is your case, and you’re hesitant to file, call 📞 and book an appointment today! We offer step by step guidance, we guarantee you’ll sigh of relief but the time we’re done. !

🚨 WAKE UP 😳💥 🚨 If your refund “disappeared”… it didn’t disappear. It got SNATCHED. 😳💸

The IRS is NOT playing about refunds this year.

They are:
🔎 Reviewing
🔁 Reversing
🚫 Offsetting

If Where’s My Refund or your transcript says:
• Refund applied to a debt
• Refund offset
• Contact Bureau of Fiscal Service
• Refund reduced

🚨 That’s NOT a glitch.

Your money was intercepted BEFORE it hit your account.

Why?

💼 Unemployment overpayments
💳 Back child support
🎓 Student loans
🏛️ State tax debt (utility and hospital bills, as well as SNAP repayments🥴🤭)
📑 Reversed credits (EIC, CTC, COVID credits, fake Schedule C, inflated withholdings, etc.)

If it doesn’t match your income history, they’re catching it.

Transcript codes like:
846 = refund issued
898 = applied to debt
971 = notice sent
570 = account hold

This does NOT mean your preparer stole your money.
This does NOT mean the IRS glitched.

It means there’s a liability somewhere.

Stop chasing big refunds. Start chasing compliance. 💯

Open your mail. Check your transcripts. Handle your business. 🔥💰

Also, TIC TOC clients, you can start checking those stubs to verify you fixed your deductions if you had to this year. Let’s make sure we are compliant going forward to obtain the best results!

Feel free to reach out to me for any tax resolution needs 🫶 good refunds are made through the year, not when you file, by then. It’s too late! 😅

🚨 NO. NO. & NO. 🚨

Here’s a list of NO’s for the IRS in 2026 🏛️👇🏽

🚫 No you cannot file your dog 🐶
🚫 No you cannot create income to create credits 💸
🚫 No you cannot get a huge refund with no income, no withholding, and no qualifying credits
🚫 No dependents are not for sale and “sharing” kids is fraud 👶🏽⚖️
🚫 No a paycheck stub is NOT a W-2 the IRS requires the official form 📄
🚫 No you cannot ignore that 1095-A if you had Marketplace insurance it MUST be reported 🏥
🚫 No filing the same day as your friend does not mean same refund date 🧾
🚫 No your tax preparer does not control IRS processing ⏳
🚫 No government debts do not disappear they offset refunds 💰
🚫 No we do not work for free 💼

NO the IRS does not care about vibes, comparisons, or Facebook opinions. This is federal law not feelings.
Act accordingly 💯

Did You Ever File a Tax Return for Stolen Money or Drug Money?
I Have — And It Was 100% Legal Under IRS Law.

Before y’all panic, let’s be clear.

The IRS does not care how you got the money.
They care whether you report it.

Under Internal Revenue Code Section 61, income means all income from whatever source derived. Yes — that includes illegal income. The Supreme Court confirmed it in James v. United States — embezzled money is taxable the year you control it.

Example:
If someone steals $50,000 and doesn’t report it, they don’t just face theft charges — they now risk tax evasion under Internal Revenue Code Section 7201 and a 75% civil fraud penalty. That’s two problems instead of one.

The tax system taxes economic benefit — not morality. Period.

Most people don’t know that. Some preparers don’t either.

So whether you babysit, strip, sell plates, have an OF, or sell drugs 🥴 you must file!

If this made you think, comment “FACTS” and share it to help others.

If you did not pay your tax preparation fees upfront/out of pocket and you are expecting a refund…

You received a refund transfer known as a bank product. When the IRS approves your refund… they will send your refund to our banking partner which is EPS(Some tax pros may have a different bank partner)

The bank will collect their bank fees and our tax preparation fees then send you your remaining refund.

In the case where your state refund has came before your federal refund… your state refund will be applied towards any outstanding loans you have received… then bank fees… then tax prep fees.

Please keep in mind that we are waiting to be paid just like you so give your tax professional some grace.😊

Any questions… drop them in the comment section.
