It has been a busy week as tax season wraps up. I take pride in the service and value we add to our community. I have been fortunate to participate in some wonderful community events.

One highlight was giving away the Jeff Dornink Memorial Scholarship at the Pioneer Dairy Classic, an event that would make my dad proud. Additionally, I had the opportunity to witness the next steps of the expansion for Grant Regional Hospital, and I am excited to see this growth supporting our community.

Exciting news! As we gear up for our 2026 Expansion project starting soon, we will be hosting a groundbreaking ceremony on Monday, April 13th at 4:00 PM, leading up to the official start of an exciting $18.5 million expansion project designed to transform care for generations to come.

This next chapter will enhance Behavioral Health, Rehabilitation, Laboratory, and Nutrition Services to meet the growing needs of the region. The project blends innovation with legacy—modernizing spaces that have served the community for decades while creating new environments designed for today’s patients.

“Our commitment has always been to provide exceptional care right here at home,” said Tami Chambers, President and CEO. “This project is about strengthening that promise—enhancing services, modernizing our environment, and making it easier for patients to access the care they need when they need it.”

The past week has been challenging for the Dornink household as we dealt with some sickness, but we are back in action now. Time seems to fly by quickly, this should remind us to focus on what truly matters and the reasons behind our actions. When your cup is full, you can give your all to others.

This past month has been a whirlwind, and it feels like my mind is carrying an extra 20 pounds. In August, my wife and I joyfully welcomed our son, Lincoln. The kindness of my clients, who brought a tree to plant for him, and the stories shared about a tractor show truly warmed my heart. Additionally, Mom and I had the privilege of participating in another fantastic community event. It's moments like these that remind me of the importance of perspective - staying busy is truly a blessing!
