🚨 Fraud Alert: Protect Yourself from Phone Scams 🚨
We've been made aware of scammers posing as Southern Chautauqua Federal Credit Union employees and contacting members by phone.
These fraudsters may claim there is suspicious activity on your account or card and try to convince you to provide personal information, card details, or security codes sent to your phone.
⚠️ Remember:
• SCFCU will never ask for your full card number over the phone.
• SCFCU will never ask you to provide a security or verification code sent by text message.
• Never share one-time passcodes, authentication codes, or online banking credentials with anyone who contacts you unexpectedly.
• Even if the caller ID appears to show the credit union's phone number, it could be spoofed by scammers.
If you receive a suspicious call claiming to be from SCFCU, hang up and contact us directly using the phone number listed on our website or the back of your debit card.
Please help protect your family and friends by sharing this information. Staying informed is one of the best ways to prevent fraud.
