I love traveling. Not only does it broaden your horizons and expose you to different cultures, but it also allows you to step out of your comfort zone and try new things. Whether it's trying new foods, taking in breathtaking views, or immersing yourself in a different culture, travel just has a way of making you feel alive. And let's be real, after the past couple of years we've all had, a change of scenery is more than welcome! Of course, I realize that travel isn't always accessible or affordable for everyone. Do you ever feel like life is a never-ending uphill battle? Same. I remind myself that every step forward, no matter how small, is progress. Every challenge you face, every obstacle you overcome, and every mistake you make is an opportunity to learn and grow. Embrace the journey and trust the process. If success was easy, everyone would have done it by now. So don't give up, don't lose hope, and don't let fear hold you back. Believe in yourself and your strength to overcome any obstacle. Heart disease is the leading cause of death so it's important to ensure our heart health is as good as possible. I see a lot of fitness influencers promoting skipping cardio and solely lifting weights. Lifting is beneficial but if you skip cardio you're missing out on important health benefits. Cardio improves your heart health by decreasing your resting heart rate. Unfortunately, lifting doesn't change this. A high resting heart rate is linked to higher blood pressure, higher body weight, and higher levels of fat in the blood. So when a person has a higher resting heart rate they are at a greater risk for heart disease and premature death. To protect yourself from disease and death cardio is vital. Lifting has benefits that cardio doesn't provide so both are important. But Protecting your heart should always be an important factor in your workout.
