With the death of my father in law and the recent career change, life insurance has been at the forefront for the last few months. I realized that life insurance through a job doesn't follow you. If I retired at 65, could I still get coverage? Would it cost me a fortune versus buying it now? I was happy to find that a $25,000 policy for a healthy, 38 year old female was just over a dollar per day. (See that quote below). The process took about 10 minutes and now I can carry this with me, no matter what path God leads me on. Call it auto-drafted peace of mind.

Starting this week, Medicare plans will begin contacting certain demographics with information about all the "benefits" to changing plans. Be CAUTIOUS! Most benefits are only for very specifically qualified individuals. DO NOT give your Medicare Number out to callers, as they could potentially sign you up for something before you really understand it. Open Enrollment is October 15-December 7th.
