As part of my education process, I volunteered at a free tax preparation site sponsored by the AARP. Now having completed my education, I found myself drawn to tax preparation as a career because of how much I enjoy the process. Even before returning to school for my degree I enjoyed doing my own taxes and helping others do theirs every year. Here lies my dilemma...I can't, in good conscience, wor

k in the paid tax preparation industry on a large scale. Mass production of tax returns for a profit is not what I consider gainful employment, especially after volunteering to help low income people keep more of their desperately needed tax returns. I have personally used the IRS free file program for almost a decade, with no problems or complications. I started this page to be part of a growing national movement and to educate people about their options. I will post links to information and resources, and anyone who wants to contribute would be welcome. I will also offer my services to anyone who wants to pay a legitimate and reasonable fee to an experienced professional (me) in order to have the peace of mind that their taxes are done the right way. But my intent is to empower you all and give you the tools you need to take care of your own business with the IRS.
