As is made ~ scarily ~ clear above, cybercrime is a significant issue. That’s why we thought this World Wide Web Day was the perfect time to share a few online safety tips:

🔒 Use a secure connection - When browsing the web, always use a secure connection (HTTPS). This ensures that your data is encrypted and protected from hackers.

📶 Ensure computer/mobile device software is up-to-date - It’s easy to ignore updates, but regularly updating can help protect your device from vulnerabilities and malware.

🔋 Keep devices charged - Running out of battery can make a device more vulnerable to attacks. But do avoid charging with public USB ports, which can install malware.

🛡️ Remember, not all cyberattacks can be prevented. That’s why it’s also important to consider strong insurance protection.
