🎸 THE ’80s TOPPED THE CHARTS… IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE. 📈
Big hair. Heavy metal. Trans Ams. Brick phones. 🤘
And mortgage rates that absolutely ROCKED — just not in a good way. 😂
In October 1981, the average 30-year fixed mortgage rate hit a record 18.63%, the highest level in Freddie Mac’s historical series dating back to 1971.
So the next time someone tells you today’s rates are “the worst ever…”
🎤 Not even close!
The ’80s may have given us some legendary music, legendary hair…and apparently legendary mortgage payments.
Fortunately, you don’t need a DeLorean to navigate today’s market. You just need someone who knows how to shop the loan options and find the right strategy for your situation.
🤘 Rock on. Mortgage smarter.
