🚨 MEDICARE GLP-1 UPDATE 🚨

There’s been a lot of buzz surrounding the new $50 Medicare GLP-1 Bridge Program! If you're wondering how it works, here’s a quick breakdown:

Step 1: Confirm Eligibility
• You must be enrolled in a Medicare Part D or Medicare Advantage plan.
• Your doctor will determine if you meet the clinical requirements.

Step 2: Your Doctor Takes the Lead
• Your physician must submit the prior authorization request and supporting documentation.
• Once approved, they will send in your prescription.

Step 3: CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) Handles the Process
• CMS has designated Humana as the central processor for this program.
• Humana will manage approvals, paperwork, and payments directly—your Part D plan is not involved in the approval process.

Step 4: Pick Up Your Prescription
• Once approved, your pharmacy will be notified.
• Your cost is a flat $50 copay per prescription.
• The price remains the same regardless of your Part D plan or Low-Income Subsidy status.
