Some good news from a local real estate expert. From my experience, there always has been, and always will be, great opportunities for buyers, even in a market like this with interest rates being up. Many are welcoming this cooling off period as they are finding it easier to negotiate with sellers and are not being forced to compete with 10 or more buyers to get the property they want.

While the housing market has cooled this year, there’s still an imbalance between supply and demand. Even though buyer demand has eased because of higher mortgage rates, there’s still a deficit of homes for sale due to underbuilding over the past 15 years.
